FAQs

WHY CHOOSE A VEHICLE WRAP

Cost-Effective: Fleet and vehicle graphics are a highly cost-effective way to promote your business around town and across the country where your vehicles/delivery trucks are on route. Once we apply the graphics to your vehicles, there is no monthly expense. You keep running your ads rent-free, month after month. Compare that with radio, TV, print or billboard advertising where you pay every time you run an ad. Consider customized vehicle graphics from Six08 Graphics to help you build awareness at a fraction of your current advertising expenditures in another media.

High Visibility: Graphics on your trucks, buses and vans are in constant motion and reach millions of people every day. Once we have installed graphics on your vehicle, they are visible 24/7/365, in any weather, everywhere your vehicle goes including parking lots, malls, restaurants, shopping centers, schools, etc.

In The End: Comparing the costs and benefits of vehicle advertising to traditional advertising, the choice is clear. Vehicle wraps are the most cost-effective medium.

HOW TO PROPERLY WASH VINYL VEHICLE GRAPHICS

Supplies needed:
• Garden hose with standard spray nozzle attachment
• Clean bucket
• Mild car wash detergent
• Soft cotton or microfiber sponge
• Dry microfiber cloths

Steps:
1. Rinse the graphic with water to wash away any loose sediments, dust or dirt using your garden hose
with spray nozzle attachment
2. Mix together water and mild car wash detergent into your bucket. (Make sure the bucket is free of dirt
and small rocks as these will scratch your car and or vinyl graphics)
3. Soak your sponge with the water and soap mixture
4. Clean the graphic starting from the top working down to the bottom. This will allow the dirty,
contaminated water to run downward
5. Rinse the graphic with clean water using the hose with spray nozzle attachment
6. Once the graphic is rinsed off with water, allow it to air dry. You may also use a microfiber cloth to dry
the graphic
7. Once dry, for added protection, you may apply a silicone or Teflon-based polish designed for vinyl
vehicle graphics.

DOs and DONTs

The Dos
The following practices will help maintain the life and quality of the vinyl film:
• Wash applied vinyl graphics with a blend of clean water and a mild care wash or detergent (i.e. Dawn®,
Joy® or Ivory®)
• Test any cleaning solution on a small section of the vinyl graphic before using
• Always read the warning labels on car care products for proper safety instructions
• Once you've washed the vehicle with a soapy water blend, rinse with clean water
• Either let the vehicle air dry or dry off with a microfiber cloth

The Don'ts
Indications of vinyl failure can include loss of gloss level, fading, embrittling, cracking, chipping or peeling
around graphic edges. The following practices will result in deterioration of the vinyl film:
• Do not allow fuels to stay in contact with the vinyl for extended periods of time. Clean all spills as soon
as possible
• Do not use automated car washes, truck washes using caustic cleaners or fine/narrow-tip pressure
washers to clean your vehicle
• Do not apply any type of wax or polish to vinyl graphics
• Do not use mechanical brush washing

FAQs

WHAT CAN BE WRAPPED?

We provide vehicle wraps, boat wraps, box truck and fleet graphics, trailer wraps, van wraps, murals, wallpaper, art canvas, banners, trade show booths and much, much more. We’ve also created refrigerator graphics, custom mailboxes, laptop covers, floor graphics and store-front windows.

WILL IT DAMAGE PAINT?

No. The wrap will not damage yourOEMpaint. The wrap material actually protects your paint job from minor scratches and ultraviolet light. It also protects the paint from the light pitting that can occur from highway impact with sand, grit and insects. Please inform us if the car has been repainted or repaired

ARE SEEMS VISIBLE?

Standard vehicles including cars, trucks, minivans and SUVs are virtually seamless. The exception applies to large trailers, vans, etc. that require multiple panels, making it impossible to eliminate seams.

HOW TO PREPARE MY VEHICLE?

We highly recommend that vehicles are washed in a car wash 24 hours before they’re brought into our facility for graphics installation. The vehicle should be washed preferably at a place that can use brushes or pressure-washing to remove road grime from the low-lying parts (under the wheel well, inside the door panels etc.) where dirt usually accumulates.DO NOT CHOOSE THE “CLEAR COAT” OPTION. Just a standard wash will be sufficient. Wax, polish, grease or grime interferes with the graphics adhesive and therefore must be cleaned. If necessary, an industrial cleaner and/or non-silicone based detergent may be required. (Any cleaning chemical should be tested on the vehicle in an inconspicuous area to make sure it will not mar the paint surface).Once the vehicle is brought into our facility, we will clean it with isopropyl alcohol and other chemicals to remove any remaining oily residue, dirt and contaminants. Special attention is placed on the vehicle’s cracks and crevices, where contaminants generally accumulate. We then perform a vehicle inspection and take note of trouble areas that have any kind of surface damage like paint scratches, dents, etc. This inspection helps as a guideline to ensure that our clients know about any surface problems on the vehicle prior to wrap installation.

CAN THE WRAP BE REMOVED LATER?

Absolutely. The wrap is actually applied to the vehicle using pressure-sensitive adhesives. Although the wrap will not come off by itself, it can be easily removed. The removal process is very short and any remaining adhesion residue is easily removed using isopropyl alcohol.

IS IT EASY TO MAINTAIN?

Definitely. Vehicle wraps are made from high-tensile strength vinyl with a gloss laminate. It requires no waxing to maintain its shine and luster. Simply wash with soap and water. No polishing, waxing or buffing needed. It is best to hand-wash your wrapped vehicle. In general, avoid power washing and do not use an ice-scraper. Brushing windows and the use of a rear defroster will not cause damage to your window wrap.
